Adults with intellectual disabilities, of all race groups, religious affiliations or gender, are welcome to apply to join our community. Preference will be given to applicants from the Overberg district.
Suitable candidates who show an interest in joining our community are offered a two-week trial visit which, if successful, is followed by a further trial period of three months.
All voluntary co-workers receive their board and lodging and a modest monthly pocket money or allowance to cover their private expenses. In return, they give the benefit of their work to the community.
The daily work comprises work life, home life and cultural life. For our co-workers, this means a full-time commitment our fellow human beings.
"We have various vacancies to assist in the support of our residents."
Our annual faire is held at Camphill Farm at the beginning of December in conjunction with Camphill School.
It is a great day out for the whole family with tractor rides to meet the farm animals, jumping castle and games for the kids, craft and gift stalls, live music and raffle draws, and food for every taste - from spit braai to fresh berries and ice cream.
