JOB VACANCIES

We have a vacancy for a House Leader to take care of a group home with approximately eight residents. Our house leaders live in our communal homes together with the residents and co-workers.  This position would suit a mature person who wishes to live in a life-sharing community and who accepts that this work is not a career, but a vocation. 

Responsibilities:

• Care and wellbeing of residents
• General home management
• Attend meetings and communicate with other members of the community
• Share administrative and other tasks relating to the running of the community
• Supervision of domestic staff

Requirements:

• Compassionate with an understanding for adults with special needs
• Prepared to strive for quality of life for our residents
• Strong, sensible, open-minded person with life-experience
• Good communication and organising skills
• Must be a team player who is responsive and dependable 
• Valid driver’s licence essential
• Training or experience in caring for the elderly or in nursing would be a recommendation
