Cattle farming.
Besides offering residential care, we are a working Community Farm, providing basic foodstuffs to the Community. The Beef Herd forms part of one of the Workshops available to the residents. Interacting with the animals provides a therapy and enjoyment is experienced which contributes to their own healing process. Our current beef herd is 15 strong, and we aim to increase the herd to 28. The cattle manure, which is an excellent source of organic fertilizer, is used in the Food & Herb Garden Workshops which in turn supplies the Community with fresh produce.
Camphill Farm Community was founded in 1978 and the land has been managed on organic and biodynamic principles since.
